Dez Looking To Sign Long-Term Before Week 1

Michael Doutey

Dallas Cowboys fans are sitting here in early July waiting for their best playmaker and the franchise to agree to a long term deal. Dez Bryant has made is clear that he wants a long term deal while the Cowboys have been dragging their feet.

Back in March the Cowboys put the franchise tag on the superstar receiver, worth up to $13 million for the 2015 season. Now that doesn’t sound bad. After all, $13 million is $13 million.

Still Dez wants a long term deal with some guaranteed money. Most players don’t want the franchise tag. It is only one year. If that player suffers a serious injury then their value could drop significantly in their next contract.
