Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder have reportedly agreed to a 3-year, $85.7 million dollar contract. This deal would include a player option that would allow Westbrook to hit the free agent market after the 2017-2018 season.

The option might allow Russell to take advantage of a league rule that states a player can be put on a max deal after completing 10 seasons in the NBA.

Westbrook is a five-time All-Star and two-time All-Star Game MVP, Westbrook also averaged 23.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 10.4 assists last season.
