THUNDER ANNOUNCES 2022-23 REGULAR SEASON SCHEDULE |
OKLAHOMA CITY, Aug. 17, 2022 –The Oklahoma City Thunder announced its 2022-23 regular season schedule today. The Thunder is set to tip off the upcoming season with a pair of road contests against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 19 and the Denver Nuggets on Oct. 22, before hosting the Timberwolves for the team’s home opener at Paycom Center on Sunday, Oct. 23. During the holiday season, the Thunder will host a season-long seven-game homestand which spans from Dec. 14 vs. the Miami Heat and continues until Dec. 27 when the San Antonio Spurs visit Oklahoma City. The Thunder will play a family-friendly schedule which includes 17 home weekend dates comprised of seven Friday, three Saturday and seven Sunday games. In what has become an Oklahoma City tradition, the Thunder will once again host a New Year’s Eve game at 7 p.m. against the Philadelphia 76ers at Paycom Center. The Thunder’s month-by-month breakdown includes six games in October (three home, three road), 16 games in November (eight home, eight road), 14 games in December (eight home, six road), 14 games in January (seven home, seven road), 11 games in February (five home, six road), 17 games in March (eight home, nine road) and four games in April (two home, two road). Over the course of the 2022-23 season, the Thunder will host five homestands of at least three games or more. The Thunder is scheduled to hit the road for a season-long five-game road trip in early December starting with a Dec. 3 match-up against the Timberwolves and wrapping-up with a Dec. 12 contest against the Dallas Mavericks. Oklahoma City will compete in six road trips this season in excess of three or more games. The Thunder will participate in 13 back-to-back sets during the 2022-23 season, consisting of six road/road, three home/road, three home/home and one road/home back-to-backs. Bally Sports Oklahoma is scheduled to carry 81 of the Thunder’s 82 regular season games. The Nov. 1 home game vs. the Orlando Magic will be shown exclusively on TNT. The Thunder is also scheduled to make at least three other national TV appearances on NBA TV: Nov. 3 vs. the Denver Nuggets, Nov. 14 at the Boston Celtics, and Nov. 26 at the Houston Rockets. All games are broadcast on the Thunder Radio Network, led by flagship station WWLS (98.1 FM) The Sports Animal in Oklahoma City. All home games are also broadcast in Spanish on WKY (930 AM). An early and exclusive opportunity for fans to purchase single-game tickets for all Thunder home games through Dec. 31 will come during the Thunder Fan Fest at Paycom Center on Sunday, Sept. 11 from 2-5 p.m. For those unable to attend that event, single-game tickets for home games through Dec. 31 will be available online at okcthunder.com on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. Single-game tickets for the second half of the season will go on sale at a later date.
