OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 28, 2025 – Oklahoma City Thunder guard Cason Wallace has been named a participant in the 2025 Castrol Rising Stars Game, it was announced today by the NBA. This marks Wallace’s second Rising Stars appearance.
The 2024 All-Rookie Second Team member has appeared in 44 games (30 starts) this season and averaged career-highs of 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.73 steals (sixth in NBA) per game. Wallace has helped the Thunder to the number one defensive rating in the league (103.9) and a league-leading 37-8 record, the best start in team history.
This marks six straight seasons a Thunder player will appear in the Rising Stars game and is the ninth selection for Oklahoma City over the last five seasons, tied for the most in the NBA.
Castrol Rising Stars is the annual showcase of top first- and second-year NBA players and NBA G League standouts. The annual showcase of premier young talent, featuring a mini-tournament with four teams and three games, will air live on Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. ET on TNT. New for 2025, the winning Rising Stars team will feature in the All-Star Game mini-tournament on Sunday, Feb. 16, competing against the NBA All-Stars.
