Game Previews from The Animals

Matt Meyer: Painful loss for the Pokes in Provo on Friday night, as the Cowboys surrendered a TD with :10 left in losing 38-35 to BYU. Would’ve been the type of win that could turn a season around, going on the road at one of the two unbeatens in the Big 12. Just as Oklahoma State found some momentum offensively with Garret Rangel at QB, he gets injured and could miss significant time. Ollie Gordon had a productive day, racking up 127 total yards and 3 TD’s. Two fantastic TD drives at the end of the game weren’t enough though as the Cowboys’ defense allowed the Cougars to go 75 yards in 8 plays, taking up only 1:02 to score the winning TD. Up next, a game in Waco against a 3-4 Baylor team that put 59 on the board in a win over Texas Tech last week. Near misses against Colorado and BYU have cost the Bears a chance at having a really good season, but 4 of their last 5 are against teams with a losing record. Feels like a good spot for OSU. They found some things offensively against BYU and it will not be that tough of an environment inside McLane Stadium on Saturday. Cowboys 34 Bears 31.
