Report: Rams open to trading CB Tre’Davious White

Los Angeles Rams cornerback Tre’Davious White, who has been inactive for the past two games, is discussing his future with the team, which could include a trade, ESPN reported Saturday.

The Rams are reportedly still open to keeping White but are also open to moving him to another team with a need at his position, per the report.

White was added to the inactive list in Week 6 when Darious Williams returned from a hamstring injury.

A former first-team All-Pro in 2019, White has 12 tackles and two passes defensed in four games (all starts) this season.

White signed a one-year, $8.5 million deal with the Rams in March as he was working his way back from a torn Achilles that limited him to just four games last season with the Buffalo Bills. The Bills released White, saving the team $10.2 million in cap space.

Though healthy so far this season, White missed 30 games from 2021-2023 due to various injuries.

White was drafted in the first round in 2017 out of LSU and spent his first seven seasons in Buffalo, highlighted by his 2019 season when he tied for the NFL lead with six interceptions.

White had 18 interceptions, 311 tackles, 68 passes defended and five forced fumbles with the Bills.

He tore his left ACL on Thanksgiving in 2021 and returned late in the 2022 season for six regular-season games and two playoff games. He has played 14 games combined over the past three seasons.
