SHAI GILGEOUS-ALEXANDER NAMED WESTERN CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE MONTH
OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 2, 2025 – Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been named Western Conference Player of the Month for games played in December, it was announced today by the NBA.
During the month of December, Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder to a 12-1 record while averaging an NBA-best 33.3 points on 56.3% shooting to go along with 5.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.2 blocks per game.
After capturing Player of the Month honors in back-to-back months this season, Gilgeous-Alexander has now won three career Player of the Month awards.
Gilgeous-Alexander is on pace to become the second player in NBA history to average 30+ points on 50% shooting to go along with 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists, 2+ steals and 1+ blocks [Michael Jordan (1987-88 and 1990-91)].
