MARK DAIGNEAULT NAMED WESTERN CONFERENCE COACH OF THE MONTH
OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan 2, 2025 – Oklahoma City Thunder Head Coach Mark Daigneault was named Western Conference Coach of the Month for games played in December, it was announced today by the NBA.
Daigneault receives his first career Coach of the Month award after leading the Thunder to an NBA-best 12-1 record during the month of December.
The 2023-24 NBA Coach of the Year led the Thunder to an NBA-leading defensive rating (103.1) this past month as Oklahoma City led the NBA in steals (11.85), turnovers forced (18.8) and points off turnovers (26.3). The Thunder recorded the fewest turnovers in the league during the month December (11.4).
Under Daigneault’s leadership, Oklahoma City is off to its best start in Thunder history, and with a record of 27-5, Oklahoma City currently leads the Western Conference standings.
