Thunder Head Coach Mark Daigneault All-Star Selection

OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 19, 2025 – Oklahoma City Thunder Head Coach Mark Daigneault and his coaching staff will serve as coaches during the 2025 NBA All-Star Game in San Francisco on Feb. 16 at Chase Center, it was announced today by the National Basketball Association. 

Daigneault and his staff clinched All-Star coaching honors after the Thunder secured the best record in the Western Conference through games played on Feb. 2 by virtue of tonight’s 127-101 victory vs. the Brooklyn Nets. 

The 2023-24 NBA Coach of the Year and the NBA’s Western Conference Coach of the Month from this past December will make his first ever All-Star coaching appearance. Under Daigneault’s leadership, Oklahoma City is off to its best start in Thunder history (35-7).

During the 2024-25 season, the Thunder has recorded a 15-game win streak and a current 11-game home win streak. Oklahoma City currently leads the NBA in net rating (12.5), defensive rating (103.2), steals (11.5), deflections (22.1) and points off turnovers (23.2). 

For the first time ever in 2025, the NBA All-Star Game will feature a mini-tournament with four teams and three games. Two teams will meet in one semifinal (Game 1), and the remaining two teams will meet in the other semifinal (Game 2). The winning teams from Game 1 and Game 2 will advance to face each other in the championship (Game 3). For each game, the winner will be the first team to reach or surpass 40 points.
