Reports: Rangers waiving OF Robbie Grossman, Travis Jankowski

The Texas Rangers are waiving veteran outfielders Robbie Grossman and Travis Jankowski, multiple outlets reported Thursday night.

Grossman, 34, is batting .235 with three home runs and 10 RBIs in 102 at-bats over 44 games with Texas following a May trade from the Chicago White Sox for minor league pitcher Anthony Hoopii-Tuionetoa. Grossman was 15-for-71 (.211) in 25 games with Chicago.

For his 12-year career, Grossman is hitting .243 with 93 homers and 429 RBIs in 1,195 games with the Houston Astros (2013-15), Minnesota Twins (2016-18), Oakland Athletics (2019-20), Detroit Tigers (2021-22), Atlanta Braves (2022), Rangers (2023, 2024) and White Sox.

Grossman appeared in seven postseason games for the Rangers in 2023 when they won the World Series.

Jankowski, 33, is a defensive specialist who is batting .195 with one home run and 10 RBIs in 154 at-bats over 85 games. He is a career .236 hitter with 11 homers and 94 RBIs in 662 games over 10 seasons with the San Diego Padres (2015-19), Cincinnati Reds (2020), Philadelphia Phillies (2021), New York Mets (2022), Seattle Mariners (2022) and Rangers (2023-24).
